Setpoint

Blackbox tuning analysis for Betaflight

Load a blackbox log and Setpoint shows you the step response, the noise, and how closely the gyro follows your sticks. Put a few packs side by side, change one thing, and fly again.

It's free. It runs in your browser or on Windows and Linux, and your logs stay on your own computer.

Step response

Overlay as many logs as you like. Each one gets its own peak, t50 latency and rise time, so after five packs you can tell whether the last change actually helped.

Noise and spectrum

Gyro and D-term noise by throttle and over time, before and after filtering, with the RPM harmonics and the dynamic notch drawn on top. If something is getting through, you'll see where.

Filter preview

Try a different lowpass type or cutoff and see what it would do to the recorded noise and to filter delay before you plug the quad back in. The estimates follow Betaflight's own filter code.

The tune that flew

Every log carries the settings it was flown with. Setpoint lays them out the way you know them from Configurator, so you always know which tune you're looking at.

PID, slider and filter settings read from the log

There's also a tracking view for setpoint against gyro, a built-in decoder so you don't need any other tools, and a run picker for logs with more than one flight in them. A 40 second pack usually takes about a second to analyse.
